Audio

20-20000Hz is the range of sound. Certain people hear different ranges between 20 and 20000 because their ears may be damaged or aged.

Wavelength - the wave length alters the frequency of the sound. The more waves there are a second the higher the frequency.

Avoid distortion (clean) - distortion is where a signal is too strong and is peaking. certain components will not be able to handle to signal and lose signal.

Onboard records Voice and Ambient (Wildtrack)

Boom Mic records voice only, you record both incase one mic drops off or the audio file corrupts, also it can be used to pick what voice is used. They can be synced so the voice can be used from the boom mic and the wildtrack can be joined from the onboard mic or a tie mic. Boom mic are used due to the long ''arm'' which the microphone is connected to so it isn't in shot during filming but above the actors.

Here I created a black video to represent my audio onto.
In video the time is represented by timecode.
in a 10 hour clip the time is set like this
10:00:00:00
the 10 represents hours the next 00 represents Minutes then seconds and the final 00 is Frames which counts in 25's which is every frame. Each frame is counted every second.
Also we were able to have a look at the H4. The Zoom H4n is a digital recording device manufactured by Zoom. It is the successor of the Zoom H4 recorder. Both models have two built-in condenser mics arranged in X/Y stereo position and two XLR microphone inputs that double as 1/4 inch phono jacks for musical instruments.
