A press release is an official statement issued to newspapers giving  information on a particular matter. The press releases shown here are forwarding information about technology companies, art foundation and mobile technology to improve addiction treatment outcomes. I believe they work as all three have non-obnoxious logos and pictures so they arent distracting. The colours are also not very bold so they allow you to read without a bright force on the page. It allows for all areas of the press release to have an equal amount of page dominance.


When creating my Press release I chose to have two columns of words and images. It allows me to provide more breathing space. This breathing space is present in the header of my press release. The header of ‘’Liam’’ and the small subtitle ‘‘my life’’ gives a subtle overall summary of the press release. The Type style for the header was used as it has a Italian style and I am from an Italian family on my dads side and I thought it was appropriate. It overall presents what I am trying to convey including my interests and back story.


My target audience was aimed for any youth and older due to the formality and subjects that I talk about may not be familiar with elders or very young youth. A target audience is very important as it allows you to create a piece revolved around them instead of having to appeal to everyone. Appealing to all is impossible so being able to home in one a certain group allows you to go into greater detail on your subject. To appeal to my target audience I approached my Press release with a relatable factor discussing hobbies and interests as well as a background and future plans.
